Festive Food - Christmas 2015
Festive Food is really a pretty key thing to a good Christmas isn't it? We all get so excited by all the brilliant creations that our favourite food halls bring out and all the delicious magical food we are going to eat - not only on Christmas Day itself but in the entire festive period - having that something special to bring out when guests arrive or taking along a show stopper to a Christmas party. Best of all, being a bit of a piggy and eating something that you have to go out and replace before the rest of the family notices ... not that I have ever done that!
I can't wait to try Heston's Salted Caramel Popcorn - it just sounds delicious doesn't it?!
Absolutely delicious Christmas dinner from the Heston range - everything looks and smells amazing!
I tasted these "signature spice" mixed nuts and they were so tasty and the lovely blend of colours look amazing!
Sipsmith mulled sloe gin and apple.
Something special for Christmas Eve for the little ones (and Dads!)
Blend up Christmas dinner for the smallest family members.
I'm just going to need these for cooking Christmas dinner 😉
Are you feeling festive yet?
What do you fancy?
I can't wait for an excuse to eat all the cake!

So here are some of the Festive Food highlights I've spotted so far!
What gets your taste buds tingling?
The piping on this Rudolph Cake is just perfect! Whilst I love the Christmas tree made from cupcakes - such a simple idea, you could recreate this at home!
I do love a good gingerbread house and love this chocolate take on the classic, Hobbycraft do a silicon mould so you can make your own! I'm so tempted to have a go at this!
So many delicious biscuits! The giant gingerbread man would keep my small people busy for hours! The current trend of mini cookies with a slot to perch on your mug is a simple novel idea!
B&Q:
Make your own coasters with Tile samples from B&Q with felt circles stuck on the bottom!
One of the things I felt at the BandQ press day was inspiration - they had literally made this table with storage bench seating from items they stock - with Waney edge wood, we need a table - this left me wondering if I could just make one! Maybe we shouldn't be afraid to just make a larger table if we need more space for Christmas dinner?!
I just love how simple this plain white dinnerware looks against the festive hints with the LED tree nestled between green herbs, I would love to share Christmas breakfast around this setting? Casual and festive, it's just very inviting isn't it?
These mini doughnuts are delicious (I tried one!) and great for any guests who pop in over Christmas!
I'm not sure I could eat a snowman cake! ... Who am I kidding? Of course I could and I'd start with the nose!
These cupcakes come in packs of 6 and I can't wait to see my penguin crazy little boy's face when he gets one of these in his lunch box!
I know it's become a festive thing when all the mini burgers and hot dogs come out but I'm sure those of is with small people would love to see mini ones all year round! Perfect size for adults and children at parties and perfect size for under 10's all the time, not just for Christmas!
Top Tip! The actual cheese buyer - who was lovely by the way - highly recommends this cheese - Brie with mushroom and truffle.
These are venison sausages wrapped in dry cured bacon - a decadent spin on the traditional pigs in blankets. Maybe it's because I'm a veggie (the rest of my family isn't) but all I could think was poor Rudolph!
